    Hi,

I’m using your Event Manager plugin which is really great but am having trouble with the #_EVENTEXCERPT tag. I’m using the placeholder on a page that displays our events in a custom format using other placeholders. The other placeholders used are:
eventurl, eventimageurl, eventname, eventdates and eventtimes.
The last placeholder is the #_EVENTEXCERPT followed by the closing [/events_list] tag.

The events listing displays perfectly, but the sidebar that normally runs on the right of this content gets smooshed into the footer and then runs down to the bottom of the page. You can see what I mean here: link

It also breaks some of the sidebar formatting, most notably, unordered lists display with bullet points (ie. the “upcoming events” listing) which they normally wouldn’t.

Also, this doesn’t happen when the page uses the #_EVENTNOTES placeholder, only the excerpt.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

  • hi,

this seems to work fine on my test site; also, did you try to use some css styling or wrapped it in other html tags like p tags?

    Hi,

Sorry for such a delayed reply.
The problem was that I was copying and pasting code from our old webpage that used a different event system that created the content in a bunch of divs. Using the excerpt tag meant that the divs were being opened on the actual event content pages and not being closed because the excerpt cut the content off.

Simple fix, just had to edit all the event pages to remove all the div formatting.

    Thanks for your help!
