Getting my WordPress RSS feed to work in Joomla

I have a WordPress blog http://www.mediahelpingmedia.org/blog/ and I want to display the latest posts from the feed (top right) http://www.mediahelpingmedia.org/blog/feed on to the front page of my main site which is on Joomla http://www.mediahelpingmedia.org/. I want the latest blog post headlines show show up in the box towards the bottom of the centre column on the front page under the heading “From our blog”.

However the Joomla feed reader I am using that display headlines doesn’t work with the WordPress RSS feed. It work fine with an RSS feed from the BBC http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml.

Does anyone know how to make this work? I am going to post a version of this message in the Joomla forum to see if I can get some tips from over there.
