• Is there a way that I can use FitVids for WordPress in a responsive design with image thumbnails?

For example, we see all the time on news sites such as CNN where they have a row of images that are just video thumbnails. When you click on that image, the video is displayed in a much larger area, often in a lightbox.

What I would like to do is something similar, but in a responsive way. In other words, the images would already be responsive (which they are in the WP theme I am using), and when you click on the image the underlying video would be displayed Responsive. In other words, it would take into account the available width of the desktop, tablet, or smartphone.

What I am looking for is a complete solution. The primary source of these videos is from my YouTube channel. I am open to suggestions on how to solve this.
