single event page – null content

Alright I’ve exhausted everything I can think of to resolve this issue including disabling all plugins and event previewing single event pages in the default 2012 theme. I have a default installation of Events Manager installed with two locations and two events. I finally got around an issue with events listing page displaying links to an “event” which was THE Events listing page. Now that I’m past that problem the current issue is the single event pages don’t display the default event content.(configured as Pages > Event Pages> Display as Pages (I’ve even tried Posts) with Override with Formats set to “No.) Anything anyone can think of to check before I scrap the idea of using this plugin and/or upgrading to Pro?
