Images; Wierd message after attempt to upload

I have followed all instructions for inserting an image to my blog. I get this message when I press “upload” after selecting the right file (.jpg) from my PC. Message: Unable to create directory /home/makingwo/public_html/WordPress/wp-content/uploads/2007/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

I don’t know what to do at this point. Help is appreciated. Thanks
