link to backup images

Hi.
I use the backup images as a full size image to see when you click on the gallery image. Problem is, they have the extension “.jpg_backup”.
Chrome sees this correctly as an image, but neither FF or IE does. Defining MIME types in the header/on page is difficult, as the image doesn’t reside on a page, it is just shown by the browser.
