Sidebar widths do not change

Hi,
It’s a great theme and I love it. Thank you for developing this and making available for us to use.

I would like to have 2 sidebars, both on the right hand side of the page. I am trying to change the sidebar widths to have wider widths than the default. So I change the settings from
Layouts-> Default sidebar layout
Options I tried:
2(two)
Right
Right
Custom sizes and margins
Fixed width
Fluid width settings – ignored (no change)
Fixed width settings
Custom width (defined below)
*(The following setting is just one set of the values I tried but I tried varying the main and sidebar widths to see if any of them worked.)
1000
470
260
260

However I try, the width of the sidebars don’t seem to change. I tried to configure the details using Layouts-> 2 Right sidebars (I’ve also tried other two sidebar options i.e. left and right and mix of them)

Is there anything I am missing?

If you have picked “Custom width (defined below)”, then assigned a width of 1000px to the main wrapper, the widths of the sidebars are auto-computed keeping 1000px as the total width. If you want to specify your own widths for the sidebars, use the option value, “Custom width, but constructed from individual components (defined below)”.

Thanks for your prompt response and I am sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I thought I’d tried that setting and it did not work too but it now looks like the browser might have not refreshed the page that time and I did not see the change.

Anyway it is working now. Thank you.

I am having a similar problem, but the above solution isn’t working.

Under Layouts-> 1 left Sidebar I have
Fixed page width
custom width, but constructed from individual components (defined below)
Custom value for page width = blank (I tried 1000 too)
Custom value for main= 800
custom value for sidebar = 200

Grateful for any assistance.

Laura,
What you have changed would apply only if your page was explicitly using the “1 Left Sidebar” page layout from “Additional Options for Suffusion”. It appears to me that you want to apply this setting across the board, in which case, go to Layouts → Default Layout and make this change.

Hi

I am having the same issues and have tried pretty much everything. The URL is jopaventures.com/onlineauctionexpertstest. I have tried both the fluid and fixed with, and various settings in each including the Fixed but constructed from components below. Is it necessary for the component values to add up to the total page width? I am using the 1 left 1 right format
