Plugin News on main page

Hello and thank you for reading,

i am looking for a plugin that lets me show in the main page of a website in columns the headline and the first lines of the new texts ir write (i want them to be shown as news).

I know there are some that let you choose the category to be shown, choose number of columns, … any help please?. Did not find in the forum.
