Yet another broken media button

I saw there were a ton of updates, so before updating any plugins I first updated wordpress, I saw a ton of errors pop while upgrading from version 3.42 to 3.5 but they only flashed on my screen for a milisecond before taking me to the all so very important “Welcome screen” to tell me of new (buggy) features, which I has previously disabled…

I then went back to updates and updated all my plugins

I then upgraded twenty eleven for sh!ts and giggles. went to test the media features to find there aren’t any. the button doesn’t work and points to wordpress/wp-admin/post-new.php# a big fat hash-tag.

I read on other posts BPS was a main cause of this, I had it installed but not activated. To test if this was the problem I activated it and set everything up. No joy.
