    Exported content from wordpress.com in order to transfer site to self hosted wordpress on own domain. Its failing with following errors.

    Failed to import post tag
    Failed to import “concept_2.pdf”: Invalid post type
    Failed to import “IMG_0545”: Invalid post type
    Failed to import “IMG_0545”: Invalid post type
    Failed to import “concept_2.jpg”: Invalid post type
    Failed to import “img_0546.jpg”: Invalid post type

    Can anyone offer any insight?

    I imagine you downloaded the export file more than once and did more than one attempt to import… just in case…

    Open the exported XML file in a good text/code editor.
    Search for the images names, see if the URL is ok. Paste it in the browser to check.

    The failing tag seems more difficult. Search for wp:tag_slug and look for weird characters.
