Archives – List Posts by Date?

    I would like to set up my archives page with this format:

    Thursday, May 3, 2007
    – Title of post (linked to post)
    – Title of post (linked to post)
    – Title of post (linked to post)

    Thursday, April 26, 2007
    – Title of post (linked to post)
    – Title of post (linked to post)

    …and so on.

    Basically, each post listed under the date it was posted. Just like the SmartArchives plugin does, but listed by date instead of month (which I tried to hack the plugin to do but I couldn’t get it to work).

    I have searched and searched for a solution but haven’t been able to find a solution. Any suggestions?
