• i already tried to post this once, but it didn’t show up, so if this is a duplicate, i apologize.

when i try to activate a plugin i get the following error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare write_post() (previously declared in ../wp-admin/admin-functions.php:4) in ..//wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 9

once i go back to the plugin page, it shows that the plugin is activated, but depending on what the plugin is various features don’t work.

  • That sounds like a conflict with a plugin that is already activated. Try deactivating your previous plugins one by one to find it.

i’ve got all of my plugins deactivated already, it’s still giving me the problem.

i first noticed the problem when i started using the k2 theme but even if i change themes and deactivate all plugins it still gives me the same error.

would a reinstall of wordpress be in order?

Yes, it could be that K2 didn’t install properly. Did you check all the requirements? Maybe ask for help on the K2 forums, or try “refreshing” the wp-admin folder (delete it and upload a fresh copy from exactly the same WordPress version).
