Warning Messages

I installed a fresh copy of wordpress on my server and it all seemed to work correctly.
The address is http://www.synapseprod.com

On every page, in the wordpress backend, on the very top of the screen I get this message:

Warning: file_put_contents(/home/synapsep/public_html/wp-content/themes/reach/css/colors.css) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/synapsep/public_html/wp-content/themes/reach/functions.php on line 61

When I submit a page I get this message:

When I try to upload an image via the wp uploader I get this:

The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/synapsep/public_html/wp-content/uploads.

The site seems to function normally with a few hiccups but I can’t upload any files due to the last aforementioned error. Does anyone have any idea of why this is happening?
