Installation page cannot be loaded

    I want to install WordPress 2.1 on my local Linux Suse 10. The server requirement are satisfied. Php v4.4 and Mysql 4.1.3. But when I try to load wp-admin/install.php, the file is not parsed. A download file window pops up. Is there anything possibly missing? Anyone has hints? Thanks.
