folks, I’ve tried so much to get rid of this wretched thing…

    ojosdebrujo.com/diario

when viewed with Explorer on a PC, a big gray bar shows up under the header.

when viewed with Firefox or Safari, there’s none.

can anyone guess or figure out why this is happening? I’ve tried altering everything I can imagine but I can’t figure out what attribute is doing it.

    thanks for any ideas

  • First of al try to implent a doctype on the top of your header cq index

You need to fix your template so that it can be validated.

For the “gray bar,” check the padding on your h1 tag. It appears to be about twice the height of the header image.

wow you’re right, I really do have to clean it up for validation.

thank you so much for the padding tip, apparently that was it!

it still amazes me that it didn’t have any effect on safari or firefox…

    thanks again
