Where will I find the list of forbidden words as determined by WP? It looks really silly when there is a ‘bleep’ censor if I try to post a person’s name that includes a forbidden word.

Huh? I’m pretty sure WP isn’t censoring any words with bleeps. Is this something from a plugin you’re running?

The plugins I’m using, none of them have mentioned word censorship. I have an article with Joe Cocker’s name on it. You can guess where the bleep shows up.

Do browsers or internet providers do this sort of thing?

Are you running any sort of net nanny type firewall or protection on your local machine? If you go to a different machine, do you still see the “bleeps”?

I don’t have a different machine. I’ve had the same article on my website for years, and the bleep never showed up til I started using WP 2.1.2 – I’ll start unplugging plugins and see if one of them is causing this.

Please disregard. My mistake. It’s coded in the page source. Someone musta played a practical joke on me, and I never found out until today. Jeez.

LOL! Glad you got it sorted out at least. 🙂
