Are you sure you’re using version 2.1.1? Verison 2.1 upgraded the feed to Atom 1.0. version 2.0.x used the older atom .3 feed whuich would have given you that error.

Sorry, I am using the newest version, 2.1.2 How do I let the site, http://www.feedbase.net/Add.php know that I am using the latest version — it’s not accepting my feed.
    Thanks,

You missed some files when you upgraded. Specifically, wp-atom.php. Probably others as well.

Make sure you uploaded *all* the new WordPress files. I would double check every single file and make sure it’s the same as the version in the 2.1.2 ZIP file. Redownload the ZIP file as well, to be sure.

I didn’t upgrade — I used the install for free — the new version. But — do you think I should re-install everything?

My thought is if the install for free 2.1.2 is incomplete — wouldn’t downloading the same file create the same errors?
As this wasn’t an upgrade — it was a clean 1st time install.

I have no idea what “install for free” is.

I would recommend doing your own installs in the future. From what I can see, you’re getting an ATOM 0.3 feed with a 2.1.2 version, meaning that whoever did the install messed up. I could expect that in a botched upgrade (some files not getting uploaded, etc), but they must have really messed up to make that happen with a fresh install.

http://install4free.wordpress.com/ — it’s a service offered on the WordPress documentation pages.

Re-installed — and still the same error.

Ahh. Okay, I admit it, my mistake. I was looking at the latest SVN stuff and not the 2.1.2 release.

It appears that 2.1.2 is still using the older ATOM 0.3 version. It also appears that this may be updated in 2.1.3, if and when.

You could try using the RSS2 feed instead of the ATOM feed. That would be at http://www.triathletedad.com/index.php/feed in your case.
