I support a WP blog that has an apostrophe in the name of the blog (David’s Coffee Stains).

As it stands, every time you access the site (davidscoffeestains.com) the apostrophe is escaped, giving an awkward looking page title (David\’s Coffee Stains)

Is there any way to eliminate this escaping backslash?

    Keith

  • Have you looked in your header.php file to see if there was a \ entered in by mistake in the title tag? That might be causing all of your pages to output a \. Just a guess.

Not sure what happened. Somehow the extra backslash was inserted by WP in the Webtitle of the Options page. It appeared on its own. In the past when I edited it out, it reappeared.

Now when I edit it out, it stays edited out. GO FIGURE!
