    Hi!

    When i set up a new site, i fill the AUTH_KEY, SECURE_AUTH_KEY, … in the wordpress wp-config.php.

    I use this site from get random keys:
    http://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/

    I copy paste from here into my config file. It runs on localhost without any error.

    When i upload it to my prod server, the site crashes, and i got this:

    w}fP$J)py_Z]nM9J7YbT,^ZWT91IL}E/hdOcblZLyacm@uc');define('LOGGED_IN_KEY', 'W5->SvJ]nHqz …. more chars here.

    And guess what!

    A “greater than” sign closes the php, and the “lesser than” signe open it.

    I tried it with quotes, or with apostrophes, the results are same.

    So my full SECURE_AUTH_KEY is
    define('SECURE_AUTH_KEY', 'oi_2HtgSMtHjR=?>w}fP$J)py_Z]nM9J7YbT,^ZWT91IL}E/hdOcblZLyacm@uc’);`

    How is it possible? It’s a string!

    (EDIT: mess up the link)
