Can’t access site

Hi there,
I got problem when I upload images from posting panel, stating like “pemission denied, did your root is write able …..” so I change the CHMOD themes directory to 766, but then I can’t access the site (blank) but I still can login into wp-admin, surprise me that I can’t see my plugins and themes list inside..

though something wrong with my files, I made upgrade to 2.1.2 and success!, I have 2.1.2 work now,
BUT I still can’t access the site nor can’t see the plugins and themes list inside, although nothing files is missing from wp-content directory if I see from FTP.

I did compared the files with my other site, and the files is same, I just don’t get it why the site is blank
