Support » Fixing WordPress » Unknown File Added to Site

  • I apologize in advance for a lack of technical knowledge. On a learning curve here. My site is .

I have a file of some sort showing up on my site. It is visible under my Tools tab as “phpinfo()”. This is not something that I have added. It does not show up under my plugin list.

When I click on the tab I get a page, which appears to be a tab in my Thesis Openhooks page, that is titled “Under the hood: your server details”. This tab has not been present until the last few days. I have not upgraded Openhooks in any way.

It is a series of charts with all sorts of php code. Please help. I do not know how to remove it and am having various other technical issues on my site since this file showed up.

It appears this is a WordPress plugin but I never installed it and, as stated above, it does not show up under my Plugins.

    Hi,

Since you can’t see the plugin, you can disable it through your hosting control panel’s file manager, or through an FTP program. Here’s an article that although is geared towards login issues that can be impacted by plugins, is also a viable solution for you if you simply want to get rid of a plugin that you did not install: Disable Plugins. Hopefully, you can find the appropriate plugin folder.

I hope that helps! Interesting blog, by the way!!
