Weird Home Page 404 Error

    The Website loads a 404 Page, but when I log in through the WP-Admin, then the 404 no longer shows – the Page loads perfectly when I’m logged in.

    It was working fine all along, please help.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Why are you using an older version of WordPress?

    Thank you Esmi, it was a problem with a custom template.
