• I am hosted with netregistry.com.au. They are supposed to automatically install wordpress for me, but when I try this is the message I receive- The installation can not be completed:

    – You chose to install in the main directory of the domain thesunshinesagain.com.au, but there are conflicting filenames, therefore we can not proceed. Following filenames already exist in the main directory of the domain thesunshinesagain.com.au (path=”/home/thth3401/public_html/”).You must manually remove these files before proceeding with auto-installation:
    wp-admin
    wp-content
    wp-includes
Click on the browser’s Back button to fix reported errors.

I’m afraid I am a complete internet novice and don’t know how to do things unless they are directly shown me. I could not find the directory where I am supposed to delete the path from.
The site is http://www.thesunshinesagain.com.au but of coursse it is not yet in wordpress, as that’s what I’m trying to do.

  • It looks like there’s been an installation that’s failed half way through and left those folders in the main directory. Because they are already there, the auto-install program isn’t happy with trying to install again.

NetRegistry are normally pretty good with support for things like this so if you don’t know how to get around and delete those files/folders, ask their suport team to do it for you. They’ll be able to look after it.

    thank you

I am finally loggedin, but only because I highlighted the password and copied it. Can I change that pass to something a bit easier for me to handle?
Now that I am in, what do I do? Should I go directly to Netregister, or struggle on?
No idea what the texts are below the message box.

I’m not sure what message boxes you mean, so I can’t answer that.

In WordPress you can change your password easily. Just log into the admin area, and go to the ‘Users -> My Profile’ menu page. There you’ll find what you need.
