• My website is not working. Instead of http://www.site.com it wants to load www1.site.com.

The site worked a couple of days ago and now it works if I activate absolutely any other theme.

    Any ideas?

  • I’ve seen 3 or 4 reports of this problem in the past 24 hours and they all seem to relate to themes from Themeforest using older versions of jQuery. Try switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Then, if you could, please let us know what theme you were using and where you downloaded it from.

    I switched to twenty eleven.

The theme is Pixel Power and I got it from themeforest some time ago. It’s the only theme it won’t work. I installed it on another domain on a fresh WP installation (just to test it) and doesn’t work there either

    Hi Calin,

Have you tried downloading the latest version of this theme from ThemeForest? The more recently available version is using the version of jQuery that comes with WordPress, so this may fix your issue.

Bear in mind, that if you have done any customisation of the theme, you should make a backup of this before updating. Theme customisation should be done using a child theme to prevent this from happening, so if you’ve customised via a child theme, you should be ok. (Of course, it’s always good to have a backup before making changes regardless).

Hope that helps, please keep me posted.

    Hey

I have the latest version so this isn’t it. With the same version of the theme and wordpress the site worked and simply stopped working after a couple of days.
