• Hello,

So today I made a backup of a database of a local website following the instructions under ‘Simple Backup with phpMyAdmin’ here.

Then I went on to follow steps 4 and on under ‘Changing Your Domain Name and URLs’ as described here.

Afterwards I tried to import the back-up files to my local database again and I got the 1064 syntax error. I have no idea why, and the syntax seems perfectly fine.

    There are several problems now:

    1) The line (109) where it says the syntax error should be displays a different code than myPHPAdmin says it should display, the line where it actually displays the code is 152.

    2) As stated the syntax seems perfectly fine.

    3) Right now I am stuck with a database that will not import, and no easy way to get everything back to normal.

Hope you guys can help me!

    Cheers, Sjoerd

  • Could it be a character encoding problem ?

Remove the lines that phpmyadmin is finding bad, then import this file.
Then read the lines in error and manually insert these data.

Post the lines with error here.
