• I need to run wordpress offline and i would like to be able to upload all the (files, data or whatever..) on it using filezilla.
The problem is that i can’t configure filezilla to connect to my local host. I’m wondering what is wrong..

Should i use filezilla client? Should i use filezilla server? Should i use them both? How am i supposed to configure XAMPP and Filezilla, so they can interact letting me to connect to the localhost via Filezila?

I just would like to have an exact copy of my online site in an offline version

(What is the best way to do that? Any alternatives to XAMPP?)

    i repeat

I just would like to have an exact copy of my online site in an offline version. So i can make faster changes without affecting the online one.

    I’m lost guys..

    Anyway i’m running windows 7.

Any help would be much appreciated!

  • Why do you need to use FTP on a local server? You can just drop the relevant folders into the right place.
