Images are blown up in size….I have tried all ways suggested to fix it.

The images on both of my sites are blown up way to big to look good. I upload them at 1000×850 or vice versa and even when I scale down on the upload with the auto scaling the pictures dont change. I have tried changing the settings and options in the gallery. Both my sites are doing the same thing. I changed a number in the style sheet as suggested and checked compatibility and everything is up to date with wordpress and the plugin. The sites are jarednelsonjohnson.co and jadenelson.co, if anyone wants to look. I have tried other gallery plugins and this is a good one, although I may not have a choice in changing if there are no suggestions. Thank you.
