Hiding from google

    Hi all smartones,

    I would like to protect a folder, so that it can not be found by google or any other search engines. So would like to hide http://www.page.com/downloads folder. what is best way to do that? Is robots.txt only option? and if so, do you have good advice available for this?

    If you have a WordPress site, I might suggest memberwing-x plugin. It is free and easy to install and very secure. It will cost you after 10 members. If there are no links to your downloads folder, then there are no ways it can be tracked by robots, etc. The way to protect it is with an .htaccess file inside the folder.
