Quick question. I am having a new blog created and looking for it to be 1024x768 and of course should be able to be sized according to screen.

    Any thoughts?

What's the question? Which size is better?
    Think fluid (flexible).

I don't know anyone using 800x600, so I use 1024x768. Generally speaking, it's probably safest to use 800x600 if you expect your readers to be primarily using that. For example, most of the people who would read my site would be using 1024x768 bare minimum, and more likely 1280 and higher.

Another option you could choose is to make a full-screen page. Nobody ever said all blogs had to be limited to a specific width (although it does make designing them somewhat easier, as well as giving it a consistent appearance in all resolutions).

    Just my 2 cents.

i have a designer who will be doing some work and i am trying to get him to understand that if he does it 1024x768 it also needs to be fluid at 800x600 so that there is no scrolling showing.

is there a reference site or link i can point him to to understand this better?
