Twitter card meta data runs the_content filter twice

    I have a problem in a WP plugin that I am developing that I can confirm happens 100% of the time when ‘Add Twitter card meta data’ is enabled in the plugin. Any filter that is applied to the_content is run twice when it is enabled, once in the header of the site where the twitter meta is added and once where it should be added in the content.

    Any ideas?
