  • I thought by adding

I could get thehome page widgets to stretch to fill the space as I have done on other sites. That is, each widget would be as high as the highest one. You can see what I am trying to do at the bottom of the page on I am including the code I am using below. Any ideas if this is possible and how to get it to work?

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

Any % dimension in CSS is relative to the enclosing element — so unless your enclosing element has a set height (using an absolute measure such as px or em) — using % does nothing. You can see this in action by setting a set height in your
#homepage-widgets CSS declaration — try 500px — then the widgets DO as you want — and fill that whole space vertically. So you could either do that OR just set a fixed height for both widgets.

Setting the enclosing elements to a fixed height does work. I thought maybe if I set that to 100% height that would work, but it needs to be a fixed height. The page looks a lot better now but doesn’t have the flexibility if the page content is edited. But I can live with that. Thank you
