  • Hi all,

    Disclaimer: New to WordPress

Problem: I have a main domain http://www.chromaphobia.com and a subdomain http://www.chromaphelia.com. They are to share the same content but reference separate themes.

I currently have 2 installations of WP on each folder.

In wp-config the database and database user are the same but the table prefixes are “wp_” and “wp2_”.

It seems now that I have 2 separate instances of WP installed on each domain. However, they are not sharing content. e.g. If a post is made to domain1 shouldn’t it be visable on domain2 if they are referencing the same database? Or are they using the same database but different tables??

I suspect that there are more moving parts here than I’ve been able to find by trolling the Forums…

Is there a way to point to a particular theme depending on which domain is used?

If the 2 installationgs are referencing seperate tables within the same database, is there a way to get both installations to reference the same tables?

    Please advise and Regards,
    Juliana
