Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
When using the “Official Buttons” option under Settings > Sharing in your dashboard, you should start seeing the Like and +1 buttons.
Hi Jeremy, thanks for your reply. I use the sharebar on my websites (which I’m happy to provide a link for when neccesarry), however I think your missing my point of this topic.
Like you explain it is possible to use the official ‘Like’ and ‘+1’ buttons, however this are not the right buttons for what it does.
In the sharing option you can choose to show the official buttons, and this shows me a ‘like’ button. However, it has the functionality of the deprecated share button.
+1 button from Google, again here you are using the wrong ‘official button’. You are using the +1 button, but it has the functionality of the share button […] Using the option of your plugin does not register a +1 at all…
I already provided you with the links for the documentation about this topic. In short:
– why are the wrong social buttons being used for the sharebar?
– I would love if my visitor could +1 or like my pages, is this going to be added?
Kind regards,
Willem

Jetpack Sharing uses the correct Like and +1 buttons. Here is how it looks on one of my test sites:

Could you post a link to one of your sites so I can see how it looks on your end?
Thank you.
Hi Jeremy, again, how the buttons look like is part of the problem. You use the Like button and +1 buttons, but when you click on it, it doesn’t do the job it supposed to be… you can share the articles but that is not the same as ‘like’ or ‘+1’ an article.
I explained now three times what the problem is, with links to the documentation about this. I don’t know how I can explain any better than this. I think I’m right, so I’m waiting for your reply with your opinion :-).
I don’t know why you want the link, as I explained the problem really clear in my opinion, however just have a look at ruzzleonline[dot]net or ruzzleonline[dot]nl (but it isn’t going to help you to take a look there).
Kind regards,
Willem
Both of your sites are set to use the “Icon + Text” version of the sharing buttons. If you want to use the standard Facebook Like button, or the standard Google +1 button, you would have to go to Settings > Sharing in your dashboard, and set the button type to “Official Buttons”, like so:
http://i.wpne.ws/P6XA
Here is a quick video to show you how to change the sharing settings to use the “Official buttons”, starting from your current sharing settings:
http://i.wpne.ws/P5HT/content
Once you save your changes, the 2 buttons will be set to use non-custom, standard buttons as they are made available by both Facebook and Google here:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
https://developers.google.com/+/web/+1button/?hl=en
The only difference between the Like button displayed on Facebook’s site and the one you can use through Jetpack is that you won’t be able to add a “Send” button, and you won’t have access to most of the customization options. If you do need more customization options, you will have to use a different sharing plugin I’m afraid.
The buttons will look like this:
http://i.wpne.ws/P2aS
Since there is nothing better than an example to show you how the buttons will look like, please have a look at the Jetpack sharing buttons at the bottom of this post:

Here is a quick video to show you the behaviour of the buttons:

If the buttons do not behave like on the video on your site, could you please try to change your sharing settings to “Official Buttons”, and let me know when it’s done so I can have another look at one of your sites?
Thanks.
