1 and 2 column posts layout on same page

    I am looking for a way to create a posts page layout that has one “leading story” excerpt that is full page width. Then 4 additional excerpts that are 1/2 page width which will result in a layout of 1, 1-2 1-2, 1-2 1-2, then the pagination.

    Joomla offers this out of the box but I don’t se the option in WordPess.

    Anyone thoughts?
