  • that’s not an error – it’s the ASCII code for that letter – the code used to post it in HTML.

    HI 🙂

your turning out to be my helper here.

alright so this is a ASCII Code ? but why is it not just showing the letter ?

do i have to change some settings within wordpress options

i’ve added the tag to the thread about localization – i’m sorry but i’m not familiar with how wordpress does that… but maybe someone who does know better will come along soon.

hostage, unfortunately the rich text editor in WordPress 2 tends to eat or just play havoc with HTML character entities. To use them in your post you’ll have to (either temporarily or permanently) turn this off, which can do by unchecking ‘Use the visual rich editor when writing’ under the Personal Options section of Users > Your Profile.
