✔ Symbol is converting to an image

    I am trying to use the ✔ symbol in my pages but for some reason it keeps converting to: <img draggable="false" class="emoji" alt="✔" src="http://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/72x72/2714.png">

    But I have formatting conversion disabled (Convert emoticons like 🙂 and 😛 to graphics on display), how do I stop the tick from converting into that image?
