Any internal URLs are getting this, “%E2%80%8E” added to the end. There are no extra spaces in the url. I have not copied and pasted the url either.

I have stripped wordpress down to Twenty Thirteen with NO plugins active and still get the problem.

This was not happening until I updated to the 3.9 maybe it was a part of that update? (not sure)

Any URLs that are in articles or posts get that added to the end of the url.

The site is not live but you can see error at betterbailbonds.net/site. I have a couple of banners on the left sidebar. One has the URL without the trailing slash one has the trailing slash and I have on in the main copy of home at the bottom. All three links get the addition of %E2%80%8E.

Go to your permalink settings and 1) confirm there’s nothing funky in the permalinks 2) click save – this flushes the redirects in place and might just clean out whatever is adding that junk to your urls.

I tried that and links are the same. It’s showing up in URLs that are in my pages and widgets. The actual menus are ok.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
