Hello! In the Plugin Taxonomy section, there is a ban on indexing all product attribute pages, but the pages contain content = ”index, follow”
Hi @jacosmo,
We’re sorry for the trouble you’re experiencing that might be caused by our plugin.
Just to clarify, can you please edit the particular term rassypnoj and check if it is set to index?
To do so, open to edit the particular taxonomy term in the admin. Go to Yoast SEO Metabox > Advanced tab and confirm that Allow search engines to show this Category in search results? is set to No
Note: It would be helpful if you could reply us in English language.
Привет! SEO Metabox не отображается в woocommerce attributes
Hi,
That is expected behavior. Yoast does not appear on the WooCommerce Attributes page. See image: https://pasteboard.co/JmNCbiW.jpg. We had a feature request to add it in the past but it was closed as the WooCommerce Attribute page shouldn’t have any.
If you have an Attribute Page that shows “index, follow” can you please link to it? We ask as the page here https://cha.com.ua/forma/rassypnoj/ is a 404.
Привет! Мне пришлось отключить страницы атрибутов чтобы они не попадали в поисковую выдачу, но для вас я вернул https://cha.com.ua/forma/rassypnoj/
а в настройках Yoast Seo выставил параметры так:
https://pasteboard.co/JmUwRVcu.png
в итоге должно выводиться в meta – noindex ?
Hi @jacosmo,
Thank you for your reply.
Looking at the screenshot, the setting looks to be correctly configured. We can confirm that the product attributes sitemap is no longer created and listed in your sitemap_index.xml so that is good too.
However, we couldn’t find the noindex meta tag on the page you mentioned, which should be outputted when the product attribute is configured not to show in Google results. We tried replicating this behavior, but our product attribute pages did get a correct noindex tag.
We would recommend you to do a full conflict check to see if the issue persists if WooCommerce and Yoast SEO are the only active plugins on the site. We would recommend to do this on a staging site or with the help of the Health Check troubleshooting mode. You can find more details on how to do this here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.
If the meta tag correctly shows when those 2 plugins are the only active ones, please do switch back to the theme you are using and check again. If it’s still there, you can then enable one plugin at a time and check every time to see if the correct meta tag remains. If you see it back, then you know what plugin is interfering with Yoast SEO.
Thanks!
