Support » Plugin: LiteSpeed Cache »

    From Google Translate.

You look at one thing in the description, and after installation it turns out that the plugin cannot do anything without a caching server. Why lay out a free plugin that says give money after installation. Immediately would be sold under license.

Yes, that’s the point of this plugin. It’s an interface to a service or software as a service. That is allowed in the WordPress plugin repository. That service comes with terms.

If you are reviewing this plugin for being what it is, then you’re making a mistake.

If you need a caching plugin for your site then try a caching plugin. This isn’t that. It is only an interface for caching your content on their CDN servers.

Well, this must be reported on the main page of the plugin. So that people like me do not install any garbage on their site.

    Hi, @stovberpv

I’m sorry if you were confused. Our page in the Plugin Directory clearly states:

General Features may be used by anyone with any web server (LiteSpeed, Apache, NGiNX, etc.).

LiteSpeed Exclusive Features require OpenLiteSpeed, commercial LiteSpeed products, LiteSpeed-powered hosting, or the new CDN, now in beta.

And then it goes on to list which features are “General” and which are “LiteSpeed Exclusive.”

Perhaps there is an inconsistency in the translation?

In a nutshell: the plugin’s optimization features can be used by anyone. The caching features require a LiteSpeed product (some of which are available for free, by the way). I hope this clears things up.
