  • Hi copc,

It looks like you’ve added some custom CSS that’s overriding the width of the right side catalogue area. You’ll need to edit your catalogue and remove this code from the “Custom CSS” box:

    .prod-cat-inner {width: 100%;}

    For the sidebar formatting issues:
In the Settings, go to “Styling” -> “Sidebar” and scroll down to “Categories Control Type” and click the Checkbox option. After you’ve done this, save your settings.

Ok got that but I see no sub cats? I have tried all kinds of options for the sidebar.

    Hi copc,

Have you added any of the products in the catalogue to subcategories? If so, can you give us an example of a product in your catalogue (i.e. this one: https://www.hagenrenakerhandbook.com/test/ ) that has subcategor(ies) assigned?

I am not sure what you mean exactly.

and if you choose “Horses” it has subs in backend.

There is a screen shot of backend here

Do you happen to have the sub-category style set to hierarchical? You have the control type set to dropdown for the categories, so hierarchical naturally won’t work for that. You can either switch off the hierarchical or change the control type to check this.

If that’s not it, then it could be that the commas you have in the titles of your sub-categories, and maybe the ones you have in the titles of your products, are messing up the filtering/querying/etc. None of your categories have commas in the name and they’re working fine. If it wasn’t the above hierarchical element, then can you please first try removing all commas (and any other special characters you may have) from your sub-category names. Do the sub-categories then show?

    Same Link,

I removed all commas in sub cat titles
I created a new cat call test and two new sub cats test1 and test2 with products tester1 and tester2 in those cats.

Still not seeing any sub cats.

    hierarchical is off.

Do you want me to create an test account so you can see the plugin backed better?

    thanks

    Hi copc,

Sure, you can create a test account for us and email the login credentials to contact@etoilewebdesign.com (just make sure to reference this thread when you do).
