• Hello there!

I have a client who just finished with creating the English language on the website and we’re trying to activate it on Polylang.

We currently have two different problems:
    (On page /options-general.php?page=mlang&tab=settings URL Changes)
    – When Polylang is set to The language is set from the directory name in pretty permalinks the URL looks like this:

site.com/en/en/Post – Basically, we got two /en/’s which is very weird and not acceptable :p I have checked the htaccess and there’s nothing that’s set at all to change the permalinks other than Polylang.

    – Since we got multiple /en/en/ I tried out the The language is set from content setting and voilá, suddenly it’s showing us:

site.com/en/Post – But for some reason once you try to visit the page you’ll get caugh in a redirect loop where site.com/en/Post will try to redirect to site.com/Post and then site.com/Post will try to redirect back to site.com/en/Post.

I’m at my wits end right now. There’s nothing in the htaccess file that can interfere with the permalinks and the permalink structure is set to /%postname%/ in WordPress. I’ve also made sure to empty/turn off caching in case it was the culprit but alas, no.
