Set wavatars as gravatar default image

So, Gravatars now supports Wavatars without Shamus’ plugin. According to their documentation on how the URL is constructed, tacking “d=wavatar” onto the end of the email hash will set the default parameter. I can’t seem to find how to integrate this into the get_avatar() function. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
