Could you give me more details about the issue? By “Quick answer form”, do you mean the form displayed inside your notifications, like on this screenshot?
    http://i.wpne.ws/f9L5

If so, when commenting from there you will indeed be commenting from your WordPress.co. account, not your local WordPress account. You can find out more about WordPress.com account settings here:
    http://wordpress.com/me/account

Does this clarify things a bit?

    Hi Jeremy,

Thansk for the quick answer and yes, the form I’m talking about is the one from your screenshot.

I’m trying to understand what you say but I don’t see how it is related to my issue.

My blog B has two administrator Bob and Jeremy (;-)). Bob installed the jetpack plugin and connected it to wp.com with bob2 account. Jeremy has admin role but just publish posts.

When bob is loggued and answer a comment, the comment is publish under the name of Jeremy

edit: thinking about what you said, I went in the settings of JP, it seems that “Jeremy” is marked as primary account. Both accounts seem linked to WP but will it always answer under the name of the primary account?

sorry if my questions are stupid, I’m still trying to figure how jetpack enhance WP, but always through WP.com

    thanks for your help 🙂

That’s interesting, I can’t seem to reproduce the issue on my end.

Could you tell me more about your setup?

    Local site: 2 admins

    • Bob
    • Jeremy (Primary Jetpack user)

That’s okay, and doesn’t change who posts the comments on the site, regardless of how you comment (via the Notifications panel in the admin bar, via the Comments menu, or on the site).

However, when using the Notifications panel, you have to be logged in to WordPress.com. Could you go to this page, and check the username of the WordPress.com account you’re using right now?

Once you’ve done so, head over to Jetpack > My Jetpack in your site’s dashboard, and let me know if that WordPress.com account is linked to your local account (Bob), or your friend’s account (Jeremy).

    Thanks!

Ok. let’s give you more information 🙂

I have only one WP.com account: bob2 (which may causes that)

Once loggued under Bob, under my JetPack, I have
    Current user: bob
    WP.com account: bob 2
    Primary account: jeremy

Once loggued under Jeremy, under my JetPack, I have
    Current user: jeremy
    WP.com account: bob 2
    Primary account: jeremy

I guess, because both accounts are linked to bob2, when I post through the quick form, it takes Jeremy because Jeremy is the primary user.
If I create a second WP.com account and linked it to jeremy it should work fine?

I wanted to try that but on My Jetpack for Jeremy, I can “delete link bet jetpack and WP.com”, while under bob, I can “delete the link between bob and bob 2”.

before doing something stupid, I’ll wait for your advice 🙂

    thanks again for your help

    Yes, exactly.

    Yes, that would help.

I wanted to try that but on My Jetpack for Jeremy, I can “delete link bet jetpack and WP.com”, while under bob, I can “delete the link between bob and bob 2”.

You’ll need to log out of your WordPress.com account first. Then, create a new account here:
    http://jetpack.me/signup/

Once you’ve done so, log in as bob on your site, head to “My Jetpack”, unlink that account from WordPress.com and then link the account again, to the new WordPress.com account you just created.

Once you’ve done so, you can switch the Jetpack Primary user to the account you use the most.

Let me know how it goes!
