Adding taxonomy structure to pages

I’m wondering if it is possible to create a taxonomy structure for pages? Here is what I am thinking, we have several main product pages where I would like to assign a category to those pages. Then my users can post a new page with a subcategory of that main product and have a thumbnail be added to the main product page and then that sub page is created.
Is this possible?
