Blocked IP vs .htaccess

    I just realized if caching mode is deactivated in WordFence when I’m blocking an IP it is not included into .htaccess with “Deny from” but this IP is shown as blocked in “Wordfence Blocked IPs” section.

    My question is how WordFence control blocked IPs? or is mandatory using caching mode to control blocked Ips?
