Shipping selection not refreshing cart

    Been asked to look at a client’s site as the checkout option isn’t working properly. Upon entering the checkout page, you are presented with the product at the top and several shipping options below, however upon selecting a shipping option nothing happens.

    If you leave and come back / refresh the page it loads the shipping info based on your previous selection and the checkout can continue. Presumably it’s supposed to auto-refresh upon shipping selection(?) but it’s not working for some reason.

    Either a default-shipping state that pre-loads with the checkout, or a fix for the failed loading would be great, thought I’d ask before I started hacking away at the plugins. There are a range of plugins installed such as Contact Form 7 and Nextgen Gallery, but primarily the shop-related ones are:

    WordPress 4.1

    WP-eCommerce – 3.9.1
    wpsc-simple-shipping – 1.1
    Gold Cart for WP eCommerce – 2.9.7

    Hey there,
    Looks like the Gold Cart version is outdated first of all.
    Then it might be a theme or WP eCommerce theme files issues.

    I don’t imagine it’s the theme as it was worked up until about January. Could well be the old Gold Cart not working with a current version of WordPress though, I hadn’t noted that it was out of date as it’s a premium plugin and didn’t highlight itself. I’ll let you know if it doesn’t work.

    I`m sure you got a theme problem.
    Can you make a screenshot of the Presentation page (right side table). I`m sure the problem is with the Checkout theme file for WP eCommerce that you most likely have in your theme folder.
    wp-content/themes/hollyyoung/wpsc-shopping_cart_page.php

    Try renaming that file so that the plugin loads the default one
