Are you able to login at all to your backend?
no. I truly don’t know how it happened. somewhere along the way I changed the pointer to try to point to the domain..I realize now that was a huge mistake. I tried to go back and replace with the wordpress address but have it wrong. I really need to correct this..
well, how does one log in to the ‘back end’?
nope. it says the page isn’t available
Specifically it says:
The page you requested is NOT AVAILABLE
A general error has occurred
this is the only remains of the site that I can even see, and I can’t log in to it: http://wbtl.tv/wordpress/?page_id=11 and it looks nothing like it did right before I made the ‘fatal error’.
any help you can suggest would be greatly appreciated!
How did you access your blog initially when it was working (the URL) and what did you try to change it to?
I just wonder if the root directory associated with the domain is wrong now.
Sigh, I wish I would answer! If I knew what I did, I could maybe go back and undo it. I do believe the root directory is affected now. Is there any hope? I didn’t get that far building the site. If I could just delete the account and start over, I’d be happy.
I can tell you that when I have had this issue it was because I was working on a clients website in a subfolder and moved WordPress over to main directory before changing the address in the settings general tab first
To fix this I just copied the files back to the original subfolder I was working in and then changed it.
If you remember the url you changed the directory to, maybe you can do this.
Hmm.. can you get to:
wbtl.tv/wordpress/wp-admin/
If so, need to go into the General Options and change the URL’s to be http://wbtl.tv/wordpress/
Or, you need to change the root directory of wbtl.tv to be the /wordpress/ directory on your webhost.

the wordpress address is wbtl.tv/wordpress
I thought I had to remove the word wordpress.. I don’t even know where I was in the dashboard that showed me that, and I cannot log in and get to my dashboard now. It says The page you requested is NOT AVAILABLE
