spam shows as html

This issues actually started when I manually moved the web site to a new vendor. At that point I think I was on 3.8 but it has continued with all updates. I use Askimet as my spam filter and it is removing spam from my comments. However, when I go to spam in Comments to delete these spam items – now at 279 -I get a web page filled with html that appears to be uneditable.

I tried completely removing the askimet plug in and then re-installing it but this did not help. When I moved the web site, I did have to update some permalinks and suspect this may be a similar issue but I am not experienced enough with WordPress to know where to go. I have screen prints but do not see a way to attach them to this request. This is only an issue from within the Dashboard. It does not show on the public web.
