Force https in the public area

I installed this plugin and it was super to force https in the admin area, but then I was not able to force https in the public area too, instead with the less famous plugin FORCE SSL (https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-ssl/), just installing it, without configuration, now I am easily forcing https in the admin and public area.
So now I can feel free to uninstall the plugin “wordpress-https” or I am loosing something useful doing that?
