Fatal Error when logging into WordPress for the first time

    I just installed the new 2.1.3 version of wordpress on my web server and got the following error when trying to login to the wordpress app for the first time –

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: add_action() html/blog/wp-admin/index.php on line 16

    Can anyone please propose a solution. Any help is appreciated.

    I’d say you need to reupload the WordPress files. To be safe, download new copy of the distribtuion, unzip that, delete the wordpress files from your site (except for wp-config.php), and then reupload.

    Thanks a lot for the quick response, never thought about it. This worked. I dont think there was anything wromg with the installation, it was probably my ftp application that failed to upload the complete code base. Tried your resolution and it worked out great. Once again thanks a bunch.
